After-School Outreach Program
For the past three years, CRSA has offered area elementary schools an opportunity to participate in our after
school Outreach program. The program is FREE and provides kids an opportunity to have exposure to the social,
physical, cognitive and emotional benefits of playing soccer.
The goals of the CRSA outreach program are to:
1. Promote physical fitness and total wellness
2. Teach soccer skills
3. Promote healthy competition
4. Life-long soccer players
5. Have Fun!
Since 2008, over 900 children have participated in the CRSA Outreach Program at different locations throughout
the Cedar Rapids metro area. During the four week program, kids participate in developmentally appropriate,
creative games to learn soccer skills, improve agility and increase their physical fitness. CRSA’s professional
staff and senior club players strive to provide an environment that is fun, optimal for learning and safe.
An additional benefit of our Outreach program is that it provides an opportunity for our senior players to
become more involved in our community, learn the importance of volunteering, serve as role models for children
and establish leadership skills under the direction of our pro coaching staff. To date, over 30 of our CRSA
senior players have participated in the Outreach Clinic Program.
The CRSA Outreach Program has been a huge success! Each year, our program numbers have grown. Kids come back
week after week to learn, laugh, have fun and compete in a safe and responsible manner.
